Volunteers are at the heart of Blackacre. There are many ways in which you can get plugged into one of Louisville’s most treasured outdoor destinations.
Homestead Docent Volunteers – share their knowledge about the homestead, its history and upcoming programs.
Welcome Ambassadors/Ask Me Guide – welcomes guests, answers questions and provides visitors with information about Blackacre.
School Group Aide – Assists teachers with field trips and summer camps.
Housekeeping – Cleans historic structures.
Office help Assists with office related activities.
Grounds and Trail Maintenance Assist with the maintenance of grounds, landscaping and trails. Join our weekly team!
Walk and Talk Guides – Lead tours throughout the homestead, community garden or preserve.
Special Events Help with our many fundraising events on the homestead.
