Farm animals are at the core of Blackacre, playing a vital role in our educational programs and community enjoyment. A visit to Blackacre’s homestead simply wouldn’t be complete without them.  Our baby goats have a unique way of teaching about the environment and farm life while removing the stress and worries of the world. 

It’s not uncommon, to see children feed our goats vegetables and learn to love eating broccoli, apples and carrots too!  As babies, they’ll often curl up and fall asleep on people’s laps, creating moments of pure joy and relaxation. As they grow, they love running through the fields and eagerly waiting for their Saturday summer feedings of nutritional grain from a bowl.

The farm education programs includes horses, cows and donkey too.
