1792 Barn Restoration Project

The 18th Century Blackacre barn is one of the last double-crib barns left erect in America and was built around the same time Kentucky became a state. The barn features hand-hewn timbers, an example of pre-industrial workmanship.

Our objective in 2021 is to restore the exterior, returning it to as close to the original as possible.
